AGRICULTURE KEY TO FOOD SECURITY

By ZANIS:Chief Government Spokesperson, Dora Siliya says Government is putting much effort in the Agriculture sector because it is a backbone for the country’s food security.ZANIS Reports that Ms Siliya said Government in collaboration with the National Show Society has now introduced productivity awards for farmers, which are aimed to recognize the efforts that farmers are putting in producing good yeilds.Ms. Siliya urged farmers to work extra hard for their efforts to be recognized at National level.Ms. Siliya, who is also Information and Broadcasting Services Minister   and Petauke Central Member of Parliament speaking when she officiated at the Petauke District Agriculture and Commercial Show.
