AFRICA TOLD TO CLINCH DEALS AT LEADERSHIP SUMMIT

(ZANIS) African governments participating in the United States of America  Africa Leadership Summit in Washington DC, have been urged to take advantage of the high-level meeting to clinch deals that will benefit the continent.

Commissioner for Trade and Industry of the African Union Commission -AUC, Albert Muchanga said this ahead of the meeting which has attracted heads of states from African countries.

Zambia is among the few countries that have fully taken advantage of the African Growth Opportunity Act -AGOA, an initiative by the United States of American government, aimed at supporting business growth in Africa and has since been extended to the year 2025.

And President Hakainde Hichilema is among Heads of States that are participating at the high-level meeting in Washington- DC.
