AFCON: Unity, discipline key for Chipolopolo success

Football administrator SIMATAA SIMATAA says unity and maintaining high levels of discipline will be key if the Chipolopolo boys are to impress at the Africa Cup tournament in January 2024.

SIMATAA says Zambia has what it takes to be among contenders of the AFCON title and qualify for the World Cup but all this will depend on the team’s cohesion.

He has advised that in order to get the best out of the players, they should not be promised money that cannot be paid on time as that will affect their performance.

Speaking to ZNBC Sport News in an interview, SIMATAA said so far, the country is on the right trajectory and that the current national team has what it takes to conquer Africa.
