AFCON 2019 Kicks Off

June 21, 2019June 21, 201911The thirty-second edition of the Africa Cup of Nations -AFCON- kicks-off Friday in Egypt.The Chipolopolo will not be making an appearance at the 2019 edition, which for the first time will feature 24 teams, under a new format.Egypt are hosting the AFCON for a fifth time but are as well the most successful team in the tournament’s history, winning it 7 times.According to the BBC, Egypt, Senegal and Ghana are considered the three favourites to win the tournament, which was also previously held in January and February.Cameroon are the defending Champions.
