Action Aid Urges State How Much Has Been Saved From Austerity Measures

Action Aid Zambia has demanded that government tells the nation how much money has been saved from austerity measures since the commencement of their implementation in 2017.

Organisation Country Director Nalucha Ziba says every cost serving measure should have figures attached to it and government should disclose how much has been realized as a result of austerity measures.

Mrs. ZIBA has told Phoenix News that two years is a long period of time and it is prudent for government to tell the nation how much money has been saved so far.

Further, Mrs. Ziba has described the much pronounced austerity measures as selective because not all government officials seem to be affected.
