The Anti-Corruption Commission – ACC- has submitted that Media Personnel FAITH MUSONDA’s properties deemed to be proceeds of crime must be forfeited to the state.

Investigations Officer FERGUSON KOMBE has claimed that investigations have proved that Ms. MUSONDA possesses properties deemed to be proceeds of crime.

Mr. KOMBE has made the allegations in his Affidavit in opposition to Ms. MUSONDA’s decision to allegedly file counter arguments in court out of time on behalf of her co-interested parties – Sela Property Investment Limited and Life Television Limited.

He has further alleged that Ms. MUSONDA bought farm Number F-1504 in CHISAMBA from SELA Property Investment Limited, using funds deemed to be proceeds of Crime.

However, earlier last month Ms. MUSONDA said that she does not possess properties deemed to be proceeds of crime.

She further denied allegations that she possesses a 180 thousand dollars property in LUSAKA’s Kingsland City deemed to be proceeds of crime.

Ms. MUSONDA submitted that the property in question still belongs to the seller as she allegedly had financial constraints to complete the transaction.

Meanwhile Ms MUSONDA said that the money she intended to channel towards the purchase of the Kingsland City property is not proceeds of crime.

This is in a matter where Ms. MUSONDA is charged with possession of properties deemed to be proceeds of crime.
