ABSA CUP SEMIES SET

By Chansa Kunda:

The 2021 ABSA Cup tournament enters the semifinal stage tomorrow, with Arthur Davis Stadium in Kitwe expected to host the games.

Three MTN Super league Clubs and one FAZ/ Eden University National Division team enter the race for the final slot.

In an early lunchtime kick-off, title holders Zesco United will be up against National Division one league log leaders Konkola Blades.

And speaking during a pre-match press conference, Zesco United Coach Numba Mumamba said the tournament is important for his club, adding that the game against Konkola Blades will not be an easy fixture.

Mumamba said the team is fully aware of the quality in their opponent’s game style and that they will maximise their chances.

Konkola Blades Coach Lewingtone Mujembe said despite Zesco United being the experienced side, his charges will be the surprise package in tomorrow’s game.

The second game will see Zanaco Football Club take on Lusaka Dynamos at 15:00 hours.

And Lusaka Dynamos goalkeeper coach Steven Mwansa says the team has master minded a plan that will ensure they emerge victorious over Zanaco.

Mwansa said despite the 2-1 loss to Zanaco in the MTN Super League, the team will go for an outright victory.
