A week in Qatar with Enock Mwepu

Intense Training Sessions, Camel Ride, Movies, music, and friendly games were among the activities as Enoch Mwepu gives us an Insight from the Training Camp in Qatar for Seven days in Qatar

DAY 1: OFF WE GO

It’s 7 am Enoch Mwepu wakes up and does his morning Routine of praying, Reading the Bible Just to set the tone and have a Right mind-frame ahead of the Big Journey, but before taking a shower Communication is key in any Relationship Mwepu checks on his girlfriend who is back home in Zambia.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day Enoch Mwepu with his fellow teammates gather around to have breakfast in readiness to take a 1 Hour 45 Minutes trip from Salzburg to Munich.

As expected the flight was pretty long but this has Mwepu and his teammates to Catch up about the Holidays.

DAY 2: HELLO DOHA

After a long trip, the teams arrived safely in Doha and when how the flight was Mwepu Smiled because he sat next to Musti who happens to be the Funniest man at Salzburg.

Before stepping out on the pitch on the first of training his fellow country mate Patson Daka pays Mwepu a visit in his room for a mini chat after which the team did some passing drills and played 11-a-Side and finally ended his day with a session in the gym.

DAY 3: MATCHDAY

It’s day three in Camp the mood is high the team prepares for a friendly match in the afternoon the main focus is to work on Set pieces.

A brief discussion takes place before the friendly match on the approach mentality and Mwepu being a Midfielder the Formation Switched to 4-4-2 in order to make Communication easy.

Mwepu played in the last 45minutess which saw four goals being Scored thanks to the two assists he Created.

DAY 4: FUN TIME

Day 4 was not intense it was all about Stretching and light workouts, before heading out in the Dunes Mwepu was Joined by Patson Daka to the Zambian duo were listening to a Zambian Record Bon Appetit.

The Biggest High light was the desert Safari car ride, it’s the first time Mwepu was looking forward to this.

The Chery on top was a ride on the Camel and what got him so Fascinated was the way The Camels were getting up and sitting down and him this was a true reflection of God’s work.

DAY 5: INJURY TEST

The days are flying by so fast training is intense and everyone is looking strong however Rasmus develops a minor injury that sees him watch from the sidelines for a few days.

As the afternoon session ends Mwepu heads to the gym for some Sprinting, and weights before calling it a day.

DAY 6: SHERIFF JESSE

Day 6 came with its own challenges and was a tough test for everyone, Red Bull Salzburg head Coach Split the team into different groups and Mwepu being a midfielder his Role was to keep the ball.

Mwepu and his teammates underwent an intense training session to everyone in Shape lucky enough no injuries were sustained.

DAY 7: A GAME OF TENNIS

After an intense fulfilled 6 days in camp, it was time for some light team-building moments, Coach Jesse decided to bring competition by creating a football Tennis Tournament which saw players being paired according to their Countries.

Mwepu, Patson Daka and Majeed Representated the English Speaking African Countries, Mwepu’s team did not make it all the way to the finals but helped to Relax and brought the team together.

In the end, Mwepu Rested, Watched movies the energy levels were high to get him and his teammates ready for the next day and the Season in General.
