A LOOK AT WEEK FOUR IN THE SUPER LEAGUE

MY VIEW IN THE FAZ MTN SUPER LEAGUE IN WEEK FOUR

Saturday – 28/09/19

Mufulira Wanderers Vs Kansanshi Dynamos

Shinde Stadium

15:00hrs

Mufulira Wanderers had to work to get all three points against Nkana last weekend and now face the promoted opponent in Kansanshi Dynamos this weekend. These two last played in 2007 Division One Zone Two and Dynamos picked maximum points at Shinde stadium that year but Mufulira Wanderers won the slot.

Kansanshi Dynamos has made a decent start with six points from the opening three games, but this is going to be their biggest test. Maite showed enough mantle in their win last week to suggest that they should win this game and score a few goals , even if they concede against Kansanshi Dynamos again who look very solid in as many areas of the team.

On evidence of what I have seen I won’t be surprised with a draw here. Mufulira Wanderers should stop celebrating the Nkana win and concentrate on this match but Dynamos are showing serious pedigree.

My Prediction: Mufulira Wanderers 1-1 Kansanshi Dynamos

Nakambala Leopards Vs Nkwazi

Nakambala Stadium

15:00hrs

Two teams are yet to pick up a single point this season and in all honest, you would have been forgiven for thinking it would be KYSA.

Instead it’s Lumwana and Nakambala Leopards that has had a brutal start to the season with a couple of defeats and just one and two goals scored respectively.

Nkwazi on the other hand stunned ZANACO at the Nkoloma Stadium last weekend for their second win , remember they beat Forest Rangers in week one.

At some point Nakambala has to stop the rot but it may not be this weekend. Nkwazi is playing well and even with the calibre they have ,Zeddy looks set to get his first point and not a win.

My Prediction: Nakambala 0-0 Nkwazi

Kabwe Warriors Vs Buildcon

Godfrey Chitalu Stadium

15:00hrs

All is not well at Buildcon right now, with 4 points from their last three Super League matches, it’s easy to see why Buildcon EXCO is so frustrated. Its been a rough stretch

Of course that stretch has a CAF Confederation exit for the first time ,so it’s not all bad, but after last weekend’s near loss to Forest Rangers , the squad seems primed for a bounce back.

The perfect recipe for that bounce back could come this weekend with the Kabwe outfit against Warriors who are well known for being unbeaten in the transitional season , forget about the last day defeat. Unfortunately Warriors need a rebound of their own after drawing meekly against KYSA and they do have the confidence of winning at home.

It’s unlikely that Kabwe Warriors will go into a shell like they did against KYSA last week , and if they try and go for the throat here, they should be able to pick up a much needed win. But Buildcon needs one. result to spur thwm and their only win do far was from Kabwe, they could make this town their own.

My Prediction: Kabwe Warriors 1-2 Buildcon

Forest Rangers Vs Nkana

Levy Mwanawasa Stadium

15:00hrs

Sometimes it can be a real chore finding a bet for a Nkana game. You know they’re almost certainties to beat Forest Rangers if you consider the past and chances are it should be by a lot, after all they have won 10 of the last 18 games these teams have played with Forest Rangers winning four and the other four ending in draws.

I feel Forest Rangers have one of the best coaches who is not being appreciated as much at Rangers and he should move otherwise he will remain at the same level.

Nkana will win this one but look out for that boy Adams Zikiru, he finds a way were there is none.

My Prediction: Forest Rangers 1-2 Nkana

Green Buffaloes Vs Lusaka Dynamos

Woodlands Stadium

13:00hrs

Live on SuperSport

It all looked so good for Lusaka Dynamos in week one, fresh off a belting of Lumwana Radiants, they have dropped points in their last two games including a troubling home loss to Napsa Stars last weekend.

Green Buffaloes too just dropped all the the three points but picked up their first win of the season the other weekend against Mufulira Wanderers and will now turn their attention to defeating Lusaka Dynamos for the first time since 2018. They lost both games of the Transitional season.

Last season this fixture saw five goals with a 1-0 away and a 3-1 win for Lusaka Dynamos home and away and with the way both sides have left themselves exposed at the back at times this season, we could see a similar scoreline.

Lusaka Dynamos haven’t exactly set the world alight in the last two weeks but this side has too much quality to drop points three games in a row. I’ll still give the edge to them picking up a win on the road but can’t see them keeping a clean sheet on the way.

My Prediction: Green Buffaloes 1-2 Lusaka Dynamos

NAPSA Stars Vs Red Arrows

Woodlands Stadium

15:00hrs

Live on SuperSport

For Napsa Stars, they could not be coming into this fixture on a bigger high after a huge win against Lusaka Dynamos and remember , they were away.

On the other hand, that does lend plenty of credence to the theory this will be a comedown game of sorts given the drama involved on the table. These are one of the three clubs with the 100% record so far and better still, Napsa Stars are yet to concede this season. A game to watch.

That should open the door for Red Arrows , who showed character with a win over Power Dynamos last weekend when it looked like they would face their first loss

Napsa Stars has the discipline to limit the chances on offer for the Red Arrows front line and you have to like the value on offer for an upset here.

My Prediction: Napsa Stars 0-0 Red Arrows
