RAINS DELAY BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION

Heavy rains have delayed the construction of a Bailey Bridge at the Msuzi bridge which was washed away in Lundazi district last month.
Housing and Infrastructure Development Permanent Secretary Charles Mushota says the bridge which was supposed to be constructed within Seven days will only be built when the rains reduce.
Mr. Mushota says a team of Engineers from the Zambia National Service, Zambia Army and Road Development Agency are already in the district to start the construction works.
He was speaking when he inspected the bridge with his Eastern Province counterpart Chanda Kasolo.
And Mr. Kasolo said Government is doing everything possible to ensure the people of Lundazi are connected to Chipata and the rest of the country.
