6 NABBED FOR RUNNING PHARMACIES WITHOUT CERTIFICATIONS

Six people of Kapiri Mposhi district in Central Province have been arrested for operating Pharmacies without Certificates of Registration.

Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority Public Relations Officer LUDOVIC MWAPE says the suspects were released on police bond and will appear in court soon.

Mr. MWAPE says the six were arrested during a surveillance routine inspection directed towards curbing the sale of medicine and allied substances in unregistered outlets.

He says this was undertaken by the Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority inspectors, in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Commission Officers.
