595 FARMERS GET TRAINING IN CASHEW MANAGEMENT

Over 595 farmers from 7 districts in the Eastern province, have been trained in cashew management.

The farmers from Nyimba, Petauke, Sinda, Chadiza, Mambwe, Lundazi and Chipata have been trained under the auspices of the Empowering Farmers Foundation.

Eastern Province Agricultural Coordinator, ADREEN NANSUNGWE says the foundation was engaged to provide technical knowledge after introduction of the cashew value chain in the region.

Dr NANSUNGWE was speaking during the distribution of over 65,000 cashew seedlings in Minga area of Petauke district.
