By Chanesa Tembo

Government has distributed over 57 percent farming inputs for the 2022/2023 farming season to all parts of the country.

Agriculture Minister, REUBEN MTOLO has confirmed this to ZNBC News in an interview in Lusaka today.

Mr. MTOLO says in Eastern Province, farmers started receiving farming inputs in the early hours of today.

He said the province is one of the last regions to receive the inputs.

The Minister has since reiterated his statement that government will complete the distribution of farming inputs by November 31st, 2022.

Mr. MTOLO has cautioned farmers especially those not on the Farmer Input Support Programme -FISP not to buy uncertified seed which is on the market.

He added that those under FISP should be patient and not involve themselves with uncertified farming inputs because the FISP inputs are distributed according to the ecological zones of the country and they are of good quality.
