50,000 Title Deeds Issued

By Cecilia Zyambo : The Ministry of Lands has issued over 50,000 title deeds between 2018 and 2019 under the National Land Titling programme.Lands Minister Jean Kapata says the ministry wants to double the number by issuing One million more title deeds this year.Ms. Kapata has told ZNBC News in Lusaka today that government has scaled up the programme in all the peri-urban areas to ensure that everyone is catered for.And Ms.Kapata has warned those with properties built near water sources that they risk having their structures demolished.She said the law is very clear that people are required to build 50 meters away from the water sources.
