4,080 NEW VOTERS REGISTERED SINCE COMMENCEMENT OF CONTINUOUS VOTER REGISTRATION

The Electoral Commission Of Zambia -ECZ- has registered 1,242 voters in the month of August 2022 in the ongoing continuous voter registration exercise.
Out of the total 1,242 registered voters, 792 are male while 450 are female with Kasama district in Northern Province recording the highest number of registered voters in the month under review at 428 while Mansa in Luapula province recorded the least at 12.
Giving the third monthly update in a statement, ECZ Corporate Affairs Manager Patricia Luhanga said this brings the cumulative total number of registered voters since the exercise commenced on 1st June 2022 to 4,080.
Ms. Luhanga explains that out of the total number of voters registered during this period, 2,709 are male while 1,371 are female with Kasama recording the highest total number of registered voters at 934 while Chipata has the least at 164.
