Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock in North-Western province has vaccinated more than 40,000 cattle against Foot and Mouth Disease -FMD.

This is out of the targeted of 55,000 cattle.

North-western Provincial Veterinary Officer PETER BANDA says the province received more than 56,000 doses of vaccines in January this year to vaccinate cattle in six districts after the disease broke out in November last year.

Dr. BANDA spoke with NAIS in Solwezi.

Meanwhile, Kabompo District Veterinary Officer BLESSWELL NYANGALE and Manyinga District Veterinary Officer MUMA MISAPA also confirmed the continued vaccination exercise in their respective districts.
