300 UPND MEMBERS JOIN PF

By ZANIS:Three hundred members from the opposition UPND in Nkanda Ward in Mongu Central Constituency have defected to the ruling PF.The defectors say they decided to leave the UPND because of lack of proper representation.Rosemary Mubita who spoke on behalf of other defectors said the people of Mawawa in Nkanda ward are tired of following a party which is taking them nowhere.Mrs. Mubita accused the UPND lawmaker for Mongu Central constituency for failing to assist in resolving the water crisis the people have been experiencing for many years.She said Nkanda residents were all convinced that working with the PF, under President Edgar Lungu, is the only way they can advance.And welcoming the defectors, PF Provincial Secretary Makokwa Kamwi thanked the defectors for deciding to join the PF.Mr. Kamwi said the PF is a loving party which does not segregate anyone based on tribal or cultural differences.Speaking at the same occasion, newly appointed Western Province Mobilization coordinator, Gleen Kalimbwe said the PF has started gaining ground in the province.Nkanda ward in Mongu Central Constituency fell vacant on September 20th, 2019 after the area councilor Clement Mukwamataba defected from the UPND to join the ruling PF.
