30 houses collapse in Kanchibiya after Floods

Over 30 houses in Kanchibiya district of Muchinga Province have collapsed following heavy rains experienced in the area in the past seven days.

Kanchibiya Member of Parliament SUNDAY CHANDA says the heavy rains have also damaged a key road which links the area to the Zampalm plantation.

Mr. CHANDA further added that the Chambishi – Chinkobo road is another major road that has been affected by floods.

He has since appealed to the Government to come to the aid of the people in the area and rehabilitate feeder roads which have been damaged by the rains.
