TWENTY candidates who were due to sit for licensure examinations have been disqualified on suspicion of presenting fake grade twelve certificates.

This is out of over two thousand applicants.

Health Professions Council of Zambia -HPCE- Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, FASTONE GOMA says two applicants have so far been reported to police for having fake grade 12 papers while six others are under investigation.

Professor GOMA says other candidates did not certify their documents.

Speaking at a press briefing in Lusaka today, Professor GOMA also disclosed that the council has identified four HPCZ licence forgery cases from the eleven thousand health workers recruited last year.

Professor GOMA said the four who were employed last year were found to have fake health practitioners’ licences.
