17 Year-old Commits Suicide

A 17-year-old juvenile has committed suicide in Nakonde, Muchinga province, by hanging himself at his grandmother’s house.The juvenile hanged himself to the roof, while the grandmother, Maria Namukanga, aged 65, was away.Muchinga Province Police Commissioner, Joel Njase has confirmed to ZANIS, the incident, which happened yesterday at Musutu village, between 12 hours and 15 hours.Mr Njase has explained that the body of the juvenile was discovered hanging by the grandmother, upon her return from the crop fields.He has stated that the juvenile used a Chitenge material to hang himself and police have ruled out foul play.
