Zambia’s unitary state status must remain intact – Banda

President Edgar Lungu has been called upon to ensure Zambia’s unitary state status remains intact.

Development Activist, Canisius Banda is urging President Lungu not to allow any province or region secede from the rest of the Country.

Dr. Banda is of the view that regardless of any agreements that were signed in the past, Zambia must remain a unitary state.

In an interview with QTV News, Dr. Banda says President Lungu should therefore not sign any special pact with any province or region of Zambia.

He states that those that are still agitating for the breakaway of Western Province from the rest Zambia must be pursued and arrested.
