Lomphande Phiri

Financial Analyst, Maambo Hamaundu says Zambia’s declining ranking on the corruption index from 35 to 34 will prevent investment opportunities and further injure the economy.

Mr Hamaundu says it is worrying that Zambia keeps deteriorating in the fight against corruption especially now when the economy is on the rocks.

Reacting to the recent corruption perception index report where Zambia has dropped by a point from 35 to 34 out of 100, Mr Hamaundu is urging government to send the correct signal to the international community on its position in fighting corruption.
