Zambian Govt will not pay it’s Students in Russia

In an audio recording Education Attache for Zambian Students in Russia Madam Mavis Mulenga has said that the Government will not pay Zambian students in Russia their student allowances because they resorted to airing out the grievances on social media.

This comes in the wake of numerous complaints from Zambian students studying in Russia who have not received their Student allowances. Some students took to social media to lament on how they have had to endure various hardships in Russia because of the lack of financial support from the Zambian government.

If this is how the education sector in Zambia is going to be run then we have a big problem in Zambia, why should students be punished so harshly when they simply decided to air out their grievances, it seems people no longer have a voice in this country. Something needs to be done immediately to resolve this matter and pay the students otherwise as things stand our fellow young country men and women studying in Russia have been abandoned.

How can government have money to pay for things that are not a priority and yet have no money to pay for our students in Russia who are suppose to be the future brains of this country. The sooner this serious matter is resolved the better. Madam Mavis Mulenga the Education Attache for Zambian Students in Russia must come out clear on this matter.
