ZAMBIAN FOOTBALL CLUBS DISAPPOINT

Zambia’s sole representative in the 2018 CAF Champions league Nkana football club has been eliminated from the competition by Tanzania’s Simba sports club.
Nkana follows Zesco United who were also booted out yesterday at the hands of TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo via a 2-1 goal aggregate.
Back to Nkana, the Kitwe boys lost by three goals to one to Simba in the final leg of the first-round match played in that country this afternoon to end the two legs on four goals to three on aggregate.
Nkana now joins Zesco United into the CAF confederations cup.
Meanwhile, Green Buffaloes football club has also kissed good bye to the CAF confederations cup competition despite beating CS Sfaxien of Tunisia by a goal to nil in the final leg played at Nkoloma stadium this afternoon.
Green Buffaloes crashed out of the competition via four goals to two aggregate after the Army sponsored side lost four goals to one away in Tunisia a week ago.
And Speaking after the game Green Buffaloes Coach Bilton Musonda said he is disappointed that the team has failed to make the mark in continental football for the second year running.
Meanwhile, CS Sfaxien Coach Ruud Krol said he is happy with his team’s performance despite the loss to Green Buffaloes today.
Green Eagles were also eliminated from the competition yesterday after losing by two goals to one against Nair Hussein Dey of Algeria following a barren draw in Lusaka a week ago.
