Nakachinda says mob justice could be avoided when people learn to trust and respect the security agents

Lusaka (01-03-2020) Movement for Multi Party Democracy (MMD) nominated Member of Parliament (MP) Raphael Nakachinda has advised the people to avoid politicking in the face of the security concern over the on gassing incidents that have engulfed the country.
Nakachina told journalists at the PF sponsored Interactive Forum held at Chrisma Hotel in Lusaka that the security agents are equal to the task to contain the situation.
So far Nakachinda said the security agents have done a commendable job to protect the people as can be seen from the number of suspects being arrested from some parts of the country.
He however regretted that a good number of people have been killed in mob justice.
He said mob justice could be avoided when people learn to trust and respect the work of professional security agents.
He said there is no need for anyone to take the law in their own hands because doing could even endanger innocent lives in the process.
He advised the people not to kill or burn people suspected to be behind the gassing in selected parts of the country.
Instead, Nakachinda said the suspects apprehended by the citizens for gassing episodes should be surrounded to the security agents further interrogation so that they can lead them to the master minders.
He urged the people to support the security agents as they work day and night to bring the people behind the gasing to book.
He said politicking when the country is faced with misfortune is a sign of mischievous.
Nakachinda suggested that those politicising the gasing incidents could benefit otherwise there is no scene citizens would sit by politicking when others are being killed.
He advised the police to arrest the people alarming the situation regarding the gassing irrespective of their affiliation.
He said when a person claim there is a gasser some where the police should pick him or her so that he can lead then to the where the gassers are.
If that person fail to provide evidence, then the police should move in and have that person arrested for force alarm.
He said while the issue of gasing is real, there is also a high likelihood that, some people are just making false alarm to cause fear and panicking in the country.
He advised the people to leave the police alone to do the work as the country is looking forward to a logical conclusion of the investigation.
Meanwhile Nakachinda Zambia has past the stage through which any body can divide the country via tribalism.
He said the people in Zambia are united via inter marriages and work culture.
He said tribalism has been introduced by politicians and are the only ones that can end it.
He observed that the forefathers worked to gether to ensure that the first government of national unit.
He said the first crops of politicians were nationalist and willing for give to give up their positions and accepted to be led.
He said Zambia being a multi part tribal country there is need for the people to live as a rainbow nation.
