Youth mints gold in Taekwondo tourney

SIDNEY Kalekeni won the Samsung Under-15 Taekwondo title after defeating Josias Daka of Zed Lions in an exciting final at the Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC) in Lusaka.
Kalekani dominated the final outclassing Daka, who had to settle for silver with Lloyd Tembo from Mercenary walking away with a bronze medal while Vernon Mwango finished fourth.
Gift Simwinga of Zed Lions scooped the Under 12 category after beating Allan Chizu of the same club while the Under 10 title went to Joseph Tembo of Olympic Africa who overcame team-mate Edwin Malama.
Moses Ngulube of Zed Lions minted gold in the Under Eight finals after defeating Nathan Bwalya of Mercenary.
