WSL: Red Arrows return to winning ways as Buffaloes and ZISD record big wins 

Red Arrows Women’s Football Club returned to winning ways while Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club continued their unbeaten run. 

The Airwomen recorded their first win in six games as they beat Luyando Foundation Girls 2-1. 

Goals from Susan Banda and Gloria Stacey Mwewa gave the Daniel Sibanda coached side a well deserved win. Juliet Mulubwa scored the goal for Luyando Foundation Girls. 

At the same venue in a lunchtime kickoff, Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club cruised to a 5-0 win over Zanaco Ladies. 

Former Copper Queens skipper Kabange Mupopo scored a brace while Lushomo Mweemba, Esther Banda and Maylan Mulenga chipped in with a goal each. 

At Independence Stadium, ZISD also returned to winning ways as they thrashed Kamfisa Police Blue Eagles 5-0. 

Mercy Vitumbiko and Elizabeth Mwale scored a brace each while Janet Kazhila got the other goal. 

The other game on Sunday saw Nkwazi Queens edge National Assembly, 1-0 thanks to a Suwilanji Chibesa goal.
