William McDowell Frees Lusaka to worship
ICONIC Gospel Artist and worship revivalist, Pastor William McDowell alongside Zambia’s local Gospel artist led thousands in an unforgettable praise and worship experience at the Unstoppable Praise event held on Saturday 20th October, 2018. For the very first time on Zambian soil, the prolific worship leader graced the Lusaka Showgrounds, Main Arena where over 10,000 Gospel music lovers convened for an unprecedented worship experience.The event which was curtain raised by a performance of the National anthem by Trinah saw powerful acts from an all-star cast of local Gospel artists such as James Sakala, MC Wabwino, Esther Chungu, Christine, Pompi and Rachael. The Unstoppable praise platform was also graced by distinguished clergymen and had Bishop George Mbulo from Capital Christian Worship Centre and Pastor Walker from Miracle life Family Church pray for the nation and minister the word respectively.William Mcdowell was invited to stage by convener and host of Unstoppable Praise, Pastor Bruce Msidi from Mount Zion Christian Centre.Once on stage, Pastor William led the masses in praise songs and sweeping altar call ballads like ‘Spirit Break Out’, Withholding nothing’, ‘I give myself away’ among other authentic and powerful songs which had the crowd united in song and engaged in a revival of worship. Pastor William ended the night with an altar call where hundreds flocked in response.Pastor William also graced an intimate Breakfast at the Taj Pamodzi Hotel in the morning of the 20th October, 2018, where Hon Makebi Zulu was Guest speaker.Unstoppable Praise is an Interdenominational Gospel concert that features some of the best-known musical talents of our time. First setting the bar with American Gospel Artist, Donnie McClurkin, the event is rapidly gaining momentum. The second edition of the event was fittingly themed ‘Free to Worship’ with Pastor William Mcdowell and pulled a crowd of 10,000 worshippers from all over the nation.Unstoppable Praise, a vision of Pastor Bruce Msidi from Mount Zion Christian Center, is a statement of intent and purpose to show that our praise and worship is unconditional and cannot be hindered by anything or anyone.
