Who starts in midfield against Atlas Lions?

The Chipolopolo Boys will be in action this evening as they face off with Morocco on match day 3 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Coach Avram Grant will be looking to put up his most formidable team to try and get a positive result against the 2022 FIFA World Cup semi finalists.

Winning the midfield battle goes a long way in deciding who wins the match in the end.

It will be interesting to see who starts in midfield tonight for the 2012 AFCON winners.

Miguel Chaiwa was thrown into the deep end at AFCON and did well in a tricky match against today’s opponents, Morocco.

The FC Schaffhausen midfielder also put in full shifts in the two matches at the friendly tournament in Malawi back in March.

Kelvin Kapumbu is back in the team and will be looking to get back his place but has to fight off  the 20 year old former U17 captain who seems determined to prove his worth.

Former Power Dynamos captain Benson Sakala is also available for selection.

Emmanuel Banda has been one of the most used midfielders under Avram Grant and could continue that trend this evening.

The former Nchanga Rangers man helps both in attack and defence providing a link between defence and attack.

With Klings Kangwa back in the team, the former Happy Hearts player could walk straight back into the team.

Kangwa has-been consistent at club level since his switch to KV Kortrijk in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League, helping them to survive relegation.

Mozambique based Obino Chisala is also available for selection and could get the nod.

Chisala put in good shifts in Malawi during the Four Team International Friendly tournament in Malawi back in March.

The match kicks off at 21:00 hours CAT (Zambian time) and will be beamed live on ZNBC TV1.
