We didn’t swear-in before Lungu but the presidency – UPND MP

Opposition UPND Member of Parliament for Kalomo Central Constituency Harry Kambonithis morning said they (UPND MPs) did not swore in to serve under President Lungu but the presidency.

A call on Hot potatoe programme on Byta FM took Kamboni to task when he featured on the programme to explain their boycotting of President Lungu’s address in Parliament and suspension.

The caller asked Kamboni why the UPND MPs have been boycotting President Lungu’s address when they were sworn in to serve under his government. The caller further wondered why the UPND MPs had continued to draw allowances from the government which they don’t recognise.

He told Kamboni that the UPND had the most selfish MPs and challenged them to resign since they do not recognise the Lungu government.

But Kamboni who sounded charged said the UPND does not recognise President Lungu as President of Zambia. He said the MPs swore in to serve the presidency.

What the interviewer did not do is to further ask Komboni to who occupied the position of presidency at the time he was being sworn-in. And why they accepted to be sworn-in by Speaker Patrick Matibini who was sworn in by President Lungu.
