UPND Strikes Museveni: ‘You don’t Have Credentials About Democracy”

museveni-zedThe opposition United Party for National Development has hit back at Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni urging them to move on after losing elections.

UPND Secretary General Stephen Katuka said Museveni did not have the credentials to talk about democracy and freedom.

Katuka said Museveni had presided over some of the most questionable elections where opponents were brutalized.

He said the UPND was of the view that the visiting Head of State kept out of internal politics.

“Museveni should know that the UPND is not promoting anarchy and has gone to court to challenge the outcome of the elections. He is not even the right person to talk about democracy because we all know what happened in that country during elections,” he said.

Museveni was in Zambia to grace the 52nd Independence anniversary and advised losing candidates not to fan anarchy and move on in the post election period.
