Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Mwila has charged that the opposition UPND is finished as reflected in the just ended by-elections.

Addressing a media briefing in Lusaka, Mr Mwila said the PF is pleased that it has scooped 13 out of the 14 by-elections held across the country.

Mr. Mwila says the people have loudly spoken and resoundingly in their endorsement of President Edgar Lungu and the PF Government.

He says the failure by the UPND to scoop reasonable seats is an indication that the people of Zambia have rejected them, adding that this is a mass protest against the opposition party.

Mr. Mwila states that to divert the attention from their undemocratic practices with their own parties, the opposition fabricates stories and try to dress the PF government with fictitious corruption allegations, a strategy he says is not working.
