UPND Councillor Backtracks on Resignation

One of the opposition UPND councillors who resigned has dramatically sought to be reinstated by his political party on account that his decision was not well thought out.

Dengwe Ward Councillor Japhet Kapumba in Kasempa District who two weeks ago resigned from his position has made a u -turn claiming the resignation wasn’t from his heart.

Kapumba has turned his blame-game on Kasempa District Commissioner Goodson Sansakuwa whom he accuses of having convinced him to resign.

He has even written to the Council Chairperson seeking a reversal of his resignation.

Kapumba, remains Dengwe Ward Councillor as he managed to retract the resignation letter as it was within the period before the seat was declared vacant.
