Two More Arrested in L/stone Illegal Drilling Case

Another Chinese National and a Zambian Director of Alert Safety Security firm in Livingstone have been arrested in the unlawful drilling case that has embroiled a Chinese national.

Police on Saturday arrested eight Zambians and a Chinese national who were undergoing military drills and military attire with eight shotguns and a pistol recovered.

Southern Province Police Commissioner Bonnie Kapeso said the number of suspects arrested has reached 11.

“We have constituted a combined team of District Joint Operations Committee (DJOC) to probe the matter,” he said.

This relates to the first arrest of eight Zambians plus one Chinese national for unlawful drilling and using suspected military attire in Livingstone on Friday last week.
