Two Arrested in Turkish National Murder

Police in Lusaka have arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of a Turkish national identified as Iyan Aslan which occurred in Chilanga district recently.

Spokesperson Esther Katongo has identified the suspects as Moses Mweene aged 34 of Ngombe compound and Enty Siamutumwa aged 27 of Linda compound.

Ms Katongo says police have also recovered a pistol with two rounds of ammunition suspected to have been used in the act by the suspects.

She says the suspects have since been charged with one count of murder and three counts of aggravated robbery involving cash amounting to K13,000.

Ms Katongo says the suspects are currently detained in Police custody and will appear in court soon.
