TIZ calls for practical solutions to reduce corruption risks in the mining sector

Transparency International Zambia has called for practical solutions that will be able to reduce corruption risks in the mining sector.

TIZ has also noted the need for stronger monitoring and enforcement measures that will enhance accountability and transparency in the mining sector.

Speaking during the orientation workshop on mining for sustainable development combating corruption in mining approvals, TIZ Information Officer, Charles Chuulu says TIZ is working with government and civil society organizations to improve transparency and accountability in the mining sector.

Mr Chuulu says the workshop will also strengthen national and international policy and existing mining transparency initiatives to enhance the contribution of the mining sector to the countrys development.
