Tayali-2Political commentator turned political party leader Chilufya Tayali has had his take on Attorney General Likando Kalaluka seeking the review of the Constitutional Court judgment that ordered former ministers to refund money they earned after parliament was dissolved.

Tayali, who is in the political wilderness in the aftermath of the August 11 elections, has condemned the decision that he reckons reeks of fraud.

Below is his full posting:

CHALLENGING THE CONCOURT RULING ON MINISTERS IS ARROGANCE AND AN ATTEMPT TO PLUNDER

====================

In other Countries when a leader misleads people on the constitution deliberate or not, the honor up by asking for an apology and in some cases, even resign. This is the kind of leadership that Movement for Economic Development and Equity (MEDE) espouse for.

President Lungu should be ashamed for misleading the nation by insisting that Ministers should continue in office after Parliament was dissolved.

In my life I have seen parliament term come and go but never, did we have any President insisting that the Ministers should stay on.

The President is a lawyer but law is about reading and clearly the President has been off the law library for sometime otherwise, he would not even send Kalaluka to Concourt.

President Lungu should count is luck for having a weak opposition, who decide to stay away, instead of fighting in Parliament, and a gullible loyalty from him MPs, otherwise, by now we would be talking of impeachment and fraud cases for conniving with his ministers to defraud the Zambians through illegal occupancy in offices and drawing benefits.

If I were in State House, I would play the Magufuli way and ask ministers to pay quickly instead of sending Kalaluka to Concourt.

At times I wonder how much President Lungu learned from Sata or Mwanawasa on the loyalty of the President lays, whether to the electorates or his PF friends and other associates like RB.

The gullible loyalty and inexperience of our Govt workers is really costing this Country, that is why I refused to solicit for a job pantu teti nkwanishe (I can’t manage).
