Sunzu Returns to France

Zambia national team defender Stophila Sunzu has returned to France after his and half year loan in Russia came to an end and has joined French League two side FC Metz on a two year deal estimated to be around €800,000.

The defender spent last season on loan at Russian premier league club Arsenal Tula from LOSC Lille another French club.

The 2012 AFCON winner first moved to France during the winter of 2014 when he joined Sochaux where he played just seventeen games and found the back of the net four times but could not help the team avoid relegation.

In 2015 after a six-month adventure in China, the defender joined LOSC Lille where he spent a year and a half before being his loan to Russia.

France was Sunzu’s first point of entry to Europe in 2007 when he signed for Chatearoux.
