Start Preps To Vote Out PF – Miners for Kalaba

A GROUP in Mufulira calling itself miners for Harry Kalaba says Zambians ought to start preparing to vote out the PF from government in 2021, stressing that its leaders are self-seeking.
Speaking when Kalaba, who is Bahati PF member of parliament, transited through Mufulira to Mansa on Friday afternoon, Miners for Harry Kalaba representative Kim Mwiimbu bemoaned that majority Zambians were currently steeped into social anguish because of destructive leaders in charge of the government’s executive arm.
He advised suffering Zambians to become averse to poverty and show that aversion by voting out the PF from the government in the 2021 general elections.
“They say if you can’t stand for anything, you can easily fall for anything. Mu life ufwile wakwata ama principles (you need to have meaningful principles in life.) If you don’t have good principles then you are not human at all. We need to be allergic to this suffering that we are enduring. It’s like now we don’t want to lead decent lives as Zambians. Tulebomfwikisha bwino bwino sana ngabali pa mulabasa ifyo baletulondolwela (we should be listening attentively to what national leaders say when they are either on radio or TV.) What we want is for our country to be developed [because] chino chalo nabaonaula (they have destroyed this country), echo twaimina umu mu Mufulira Mine Site ukweba ati 2021 tufwile twabafumya aba bantu (that’s the reason we have resolved in Mufulira Mine Site that we should vote out these people in 2021),” Mwiimbu lamented.
“Nshalimo mufya ma politics but uno muku nayebele nati tulipamo. Tulefwaya ukulubula ichalo chesu, napapata, tiyeni tulubule ichalo chesu (I was apolitical all along but this time around I have told myself that we are together. We want to liberate our country, please, let’s liberate our country).”
Mwiimbu, who also charmed a sizeable audience by effortlessly speaking Zambia’s seven major languages, cautioned against egotism among ordinary citizens.
“Twilaba (let’s not be) selfish! Tiyeni tulelangulukilako abana besu (let’s pay attention to the plight of our children.) We have children and yet we’re failing to educate them. Our next of kin can’t access quality medical services because of a few self-centred people [in the government]. Tefyo tufwile tuleikala nakalya iyo (we are not supposed to be living like that at all!) We can’t continue with this mission of elating the Chinese. Why in our country? We are now in a second liberation struggle as a country! We need to be courageous like him (Kalaba). This is not time for Zambians to be consumed by fear. This country must be liberated by us so that our children can have decent lives,” said Mwiimbu.
And in his remarks, Kalaba, a former foreign affairs minister, told his jollying up supporters that: “I came to Mufulira using Sakanya Road…. Is that the kind of a road you can have in a copper mining region, 54 years after independence? So, stand up and liberate yourselves. We want developmental politics. Nshakwata umwenso (I have no fear) and I speak the truth. Pano tufikile nitula twabane, atini (we’ve reached a watershed point, isn’t it?)”
He also reiterated that his presidency quest, if consented to by Zambians, would not be curtailed by any opposing political force.
