Snap Survey Reveals Shortage Of Soya Beans Seed In Lusaka-ZNFU

By Tinkerbel Mwila

The Zambia National Farmers Union –ZNFU- says a snap survey has revealed a shortage of soya bean seed in Lusaka.

However, ZNFU Media and Public Relations Manager, Calvin Kaleyi says the union has not done a comprehensive survey to make a conclusive statement that there is a shortage of the commodity.

He explains that if the survey shows a shortage of soya bean, ZNFU will engage the ministry of agriculture to see how it can lobby for the import to be released.

Meanwhile, a check in some outlets that sell soya bean in Ndola found that most of them did not have the commodity.
