Shamujompa happy to be back

By KALUMIANA KALUMIANA –
CHIPOLOPOLO defender Isaac Shamujompa is relieved to be back playing competitive league football after a three months hiatus following a dispute over his transfer status from Nchanga Rangers to Power Dynamos.
The Football Association of Zambia Player Status Committee last week cleared Shamujompa’s permanent move from Intersport to Power after a protracted delayed over the conditions of his loan stay at Nchanga.
Shamujompa said in an interview in Kitwe prior to joining Chipolopolo camp on Sunday that he was pleased to finally be a Power player.
And the defender had a memorable debut  on September 30  with a solid performance  that was capped by Power’s  first win in four matches when they beat Nakambala  Leopards  2-0  at Arthur  Davies  Stadium in  Kitwe.
“It feels good after staying out for a long time without playing any league games. It also feels great to start at my new club with a win,” Shamujompa said.
Shamujompa is now away on Chipolopolo duty in Ghana where the team is holding a four-day training camp ahead of this Saturday’s penultimate Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup Group B qualifier away to Nigeria.
“We just have to win that match. We are going to win in Nigeria,” he said.
