Saunders decline to contest mayoral seat

Lusaka (25-05-18) Political Activists Dante Saunder has declined calls by some section of society that want him to consider contesting for the vacant position of Lusaka Mayor.
Saunders said in an interview that his calling I’m society is to fight for the poor and vulnerable without string attached.
Saunders believe in the theory that call for asking what a person can do for his neighbor and not asking what the neighbor can do for him.
Today is African Freedom Day and is asking the question on what freedom the people are taking about when the people don’t have the democracy, free association, the economy is down to its lowest elb and the social life has been brought to its knees by corruption being perpetrated by the selfish individual politicians
The people have nowhere to run to because the institution which should have been protecting them is compromised.
He added that not even institutions like the SDC and AU are available to protect the people.
“These institutions only exists on papers and save to protect those in power and not the vulnerable.”
