Rule of law has broken down in Zambia – Changala

Civil rights activist Brebner Changala charged that the level of Police brutality in the country is a sign that the rule of law has broken down.

Mr. Changala says Police officers have now become superior to the Republican Constitution.

In an interview with QTV News, Mr. Changala says what has put the Country in such a chaotic situation is the failure by the people to govern themselves through the elected leaders.

And Mr. Changala has questioned the decision by President Edgar Lungu to allow the Police to investigate the death of the fourth year UNZA female student Vespers Shimuzhila.

Mr. Changala has wondered why President Lungu can allow the Police to investigate a matter in which it has been implicated as the perpetrator of the crime.

He says the Police are the ones to blame for the death of the female UNZA student.
