Reveal corruption cases only when sure – Lungu

STEVEN MVULA, Lusaka
PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has urged investigative agencies to thoroughly scrutinise corruption cases before they are made public. The head of State said the role of the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC), for example, is to investigate corruption cases and alert other agencies like the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) before investigations are in public domain.
“If they [FIC] mean well, they can only go public after they have brought to book the wrongs. The ACC and other wings charged with the responsibility of fighting corruption have the latitude to investigate cases without any interference,” he said.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
