Randy Kitwe Pastor Lands Sureties in Jail

A Kitwe Pastor whose defilement case has stunned moralists has remained at large with his sureties that were incarcerated remaining behind bars.

Alick Sinyenga, whose name ironically smacks of sensual prowess is charged with one count of having carnal knowledge of a minor after prayer meetings has been at large with the Kitwe Principal Resident Magistrate Chongo Musonda issuing a bench warrant.

Kitwe Magistrate Chongo Musonda sent back to the sureties to Kamfinsa Correctional facility for failure to bring to court Pastor Sinyenga.

This is in a matter in which Sinyenga, an elder of a named church, of house number 930 Buchi Township, Kitwe is alleged to have had carnal knowledge of a minor on 25th July, 2018 contrary to the Laws of Zambia.

When the matter came up to bring before court the suspect, the two John Kapisa and Peter Muleba who signed as sureties had no story for the Court.

However, the two sureties failed to pay K 10, 000 each the bonded sum which saw them go back to jail.

Musonda said she was sending back the two sureties to prison because the law clearly states that failure to bring the accused to court can amount to a five year jail term.

She has since adjourned the matter to 15th October 2018 for return of bench warrant.
