The Kuta advised politicians in the country to stop dividing the country due to their differences and greed for power.

They said democracy and multipartism should be used for the intended purposes which is unity in the country’s diversity and promotion of ideas that would help develop the country.

They said citizens should be able to live in harmony despite political differences and that ideas should be used has tools in fighting poverty and not weapons.

They encouraged MMD to continue sending messages of unity as the route some parties had taken would tear the country apart.

They also expressed happiness that the former ruling party reconginises the important role that the Barotse Royal Establishment played in the independence struggle of the country.

They said the country’s history is incomplete without the acknowledgement of the important role the people of Western Province played.

He said his party will fight to restore the ideals of democracy and ensure that democracy is not used as a tool for dividing the country.

He acknowledged that politicians were dividing the country on tribal lines because it benefits a few individuals whom he said have no message for what they would do for the people but can only use tribe to advance their interests.

He said tribalism and regionalism was so bad in the country that even the traditional leadership in the country has been polluted.

He called on the Kuta to continue providing the much needed leadership and guidance to the country and stop the growing divisions in the nation.
