Police warn striking truck drivers not disrupt other road users

POLICE Spokesperson Esther Katongo has urged striking truck drivers not to cause any disorder by disrupting other road users.
And Katongo says police officers have been deployed in strategic place to ensure law and order prevails.
Katongo has also disclosed that police have instituted an inquiry into a recording is suggesting to all truck drivers not be on  Zambian Roads on 15th November, 2019 and that all those found on the roads should have themselves to blame if anything happened to them.
“We find such recordings highly unreasonable with potential to incite violence,” Katongo said.
She said that the police have been put on full alert to deal with any eventuality that may arise and further urged all truck drivers to ignore the content of the recordings.
