Police recover K149,500 and US $3,100 cash that was stolen from Europa Casino in Lusaka

POLICE in Lusaka have recovered K149,500 and US $3,100 cash which was stolen by criminals during a robbery that took place at Europa Casino along Kafue road and another along at Lake Petroleum Filling Station along Great North Road a week ago.
Lusaka Province Police Commissioner Nelson Phiri has disclosed other items that have been recovered.
He said two suspects have been arrested and led the police to the recoveries.
“To this effect, the Police apprehended two suspects whose names have been withheld who led to the recoveries of the following: Two motor vehicles Toyota Mark X grey in colour registration number BAE 3056 and a Mitsubishi junior Pajero registration number ALX 7205 which criminals attempted to change the colour; Two short guns(Pump Action) with no rounds of ammunition (one from Europa and the other one from Lake Petroleum); A set of brown sofa; Double Chest fridge; Electrical Stove; Music System; Two Fridges; Dinner Set; Yamaha Keyboard; Fan; Two gas cylinders; Two Plasma televisions; Two Carpets; One Bicycle; Cash ZMK 149,500=00 and USD 3,100 ( Stolen from Europa Casino); Two Speakers; One Mattress; One Genset; Two Masks which the criminals wore during the Aggravated Robberies; Eighty (80) pockets of cement,” Commissioner Phiri disclosed.
And Phiri has appealed to the general public to cooperate with the Police during the ongoing investigations.
