Police Pick up Body of Missing Chiengi Man

06TH OCTOBER, 2018 -Police in Chiengi District yesterday 05th October, 2018 picked a body of Sydney Chola aged 57 of Mwabu village, Chief Puta in Chiengi District, who is said to have gone missing on 27th September, 2018 and later found dead.

Brief information is that on 27th September, 2018 around 0600 hours, the deceased went to his farm to collect some cassava but never returned. This prompted his wife Agness Ntalasha aged 48, to search for him for almost one week but without trace.

On 5th October, 2018 around 0900 hours his body was found in the bush hanging on a tree using a blue rope, approximately 70 meters from the deceased’s house. It was found in a decomposed state by a member of public from Pilyashi village, Chief Puta in Chengi District.

The deceased has since been buried as police suspect no foul play.
