POLICE: Man, 23, kills his girlfriend aged 16 and himself

A 23-YEAR old man of Linda compound in Livingstone has committed suicide by hanging after allegedly murdering his 16-year old girlfriend.
Officers from Linda police station who visited the scene found the body hanging from the roof while that of the suspected girlfriend was wrapped in bed sheets.
Southern Province Commissioner of Police Bonny Kapeso has confirmed the incident and said it happened between Saturday at 21:00hrs and Sunday at 07:00hrs at house number C193 Linda compound in Livingstone.
Kapeso identified the deceased as Patrick Mbaimbai  aged 23yrs and Taonga Daka aged 16yrs of house no. N 55 Linda compound.
He said it is suspected that the deceased murdered his girlfriend and later committed suicide.
Kapeso said the two bodies are currently in Batoka Hospital Mortuary awaiting post mortem.
He said two half bottles of fanta and coke were also picked at the scene and will be taken for examination.
